Synapse Analytics, a company building AI-powered decisioning infrastructure for regulated financial institutions, announced a $13 million Series A funding round, bringing its total funding to $17 million since its founding. The round was led by Partech, with participation from Algebra Ventures and Silicon Badia, and will support team expansion, product development, and international growth.

Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, Synapse Analytics works with banks, fintechs, and telcos across the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America, helping institutions automate credit, fraud, and compliance decisions while keeping sensitive data within their own infrastructure, whether on-premise, in private or sovereign cloud, or air-gapped environments. The company said its approach allows risk and credit teams to adjust policies directly and test outcomes against historical data before deployment.

Co-founder and CEO Ahmed Abaza said the funding reflects growing momentum and will support the company’s broader mission to give financial institutions faster, more secure decision-making infrastructure. Co-founder and COO Galal Elbeshbishy said the company is expanding into intelligent agents that work alongside institutional teams to refine credit policies and monitor portfolios in real time. Partech principal Lewam Kefela said the firm was drawn to the founders’ technical depth and ability to scale the platform across emerging markets facing increasing regulatory and data-governance demands.
