  • Corridian has emerged from stealth with $38 million in seed funding to develop large autonomous underwater vehicles capable of transporting military cargo and other payloads across thousands of nautical miles without a crew.
  • Led by Point72 Ventures, the funding round will support development of the company’s first underwater vehicle, expansion of its research facility and engineering team, with a flagship model planned for unveiling in 2027.
  • Founded by former General Dynamics executives, Corridian is designing vehicles to carry large payloads through contested waters while using suppliers outside the traditional submarine industrial base.

Corridian has emerged from stealth with $38 million in seed funding to develop large autonomous underwater vehicles designed to transport military cargo and other payloads across thousands of nautical miles without a crew.

According to the New England defense technology company, the round was led by Point72 Ventures, with participation from Balerion Space Ventures, Harpoon Ventures, DCVC, Marlinspike and other defense and technology investors.

The funding will go to development of Corridian’s first autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV), expansion of its research and development facility and hiring for its undersea engineering team. The company plans to unveil its flagship vehicle in 2027.

Corridian is developing underwater vehicles capable of carrying large payloads in standard shipping containers over long distances while remaining difficult to detect in waters where military ships and aircraft face threats. Corridian’s initial development efforts focus on military cargo delivery, intelligence gathering, surveillance and reconnaissance.

“America’s dependence on the surface and air domains to move mass at scale is an acute vulnerability,” co-founder and CEO Mike Guay sad in the announcement. “The United States and its allies are buying drones, sensors, effects, and supplies that need a way to reach the fight, even when operating in heavily contested and denied environments. That’s stealth logistics: carrying that cargo underwater, out of sight, autonomously, thousands of nautical miles at a time. Corridian adds the undersea capacity commanders need, working alongside the submarines that operate at the tip of the spear today.”

The company also plans to use suppliers outside the traditional submarine industrial base, allowing it to develop and manufacture its vehicles without competing directly for the shipyards and suppliers used to build crewed submarines.

Founded in September 2025, Corridian was established by former General Dynamics executives Guay, Greg Barrow, Kyle Arace and Mark Bodnar. Guay serves as CEO, Barrow as president, Arace as chief technology officer and Bodnar as chief operating officer. The founders previously led a major portfolio of autonomous underwater systems at General Dynamics, including programs that entered service with the U.S. Navy, Royal Australian Navy and other military partners.

Corridian has also assembled an advisory board that includes retired Adm. Lisa Franchetti, former U.S. chief of naval operations, who serves as a senior military adviser. Other advisers include Jason Potter, former acting assistant secretary of the Navy for research, development and acquisition; retired Vice Adm. Jeff Trussler, former deputy chief of naval operations for information warfare; retired Rear Adm. Milton Sands III, former commander of Naval Special Warfare; and national security investor Stephen Rodriguez.
